Moçambique
In a country where the highways are sand and the buildings are shacks you can't help but feel in a different world with unthinkable possibilities and endless hours of sun. Even the winter months smile warmly on our faces.
Kings of Leon and Gold Reef City
What more is there to say? Kings of Leon are absolutely mind blowing and if you add on a day of theme parks and roller coasters then in our opinion you stand no chance. Unfortunately the band was so amazing that we went into a depression afterwards because of the drastic contrast between the lameness of life and the dreamlike aura of the concert. Here are the memories sorely missed.

Hilton Arts Festival
The annual Hilton Arts Festival is one of the highlights for not just the Midlands but also Kwa-Zulu Natal and even Jo'burg and Cape Town. It's a market where people sell their goods and artworks and there is also a selection of shows featuring top South African actors (this year we had an Israeli actor) to go and see. Here is a taste of the unforgettable, three day, artsy heaven.
The South African Midlands
Yes we all know there's also a Midlands in England or where ever but we reckon that South African Midlands take the cake. They're sunny all year 'round and they have that certain rustic quality that is prominent in all things down south in Africa.

Tom Ford and Marc Jacobs ads are genius and we think you deserve to have a peek at some of their masterpieces.

Little Wonders
The reason we love notebooks is because you can make them your own. These are some doodles from our favourite notebook as well as some pictures of my Dad's 20 year old (more or less) camera and my grandpa's jar of buttons from his World War II uniform.
Rugby in Durbs
One of the most well-known social events in Durban, South Africa is going to watch the rugby. How much actual watching of the game there is is up for speculation but one thing's for sure; it is an atmosphere unlike anywhere else in the world and no matter the weather(in these pictures it was pouring) you are guaranteed to have a good time. It doesn't even matter how old you are; the oldies jam with the teens and the little people run around playing ball on the field. These pictures give you a taste of one of the jewels of Durban.
